Coached Session - Sunday evening 7-8pm

We hold a coached session at the Weald Sports Centre every Sunday evening 7-8pm. The sessions consist of technique drills set by the coaches and then a swim set to incorporate the drills and some endurance efforts. Recently due to the increased interest in these sessions we have hired and divided the pool into lanes set by the participants speed. We have experienced and novice swimmers so fret not, you will 'never be out of your depth'.

River Swim - Bodiam Boating Station
(For the avoidance of doubt the outdoor swim season has finished for the club)

As the seasons progress the temperature increases and thus the river becomes a more attractive prospect to swim in! Once Thermoduck makes his appearance and deems it suitable (water quality testing also) we visit the River Rother at Bodiam Boating Station on the outskirts of Newenden. Evening swims are generally on a Thursday evening, daylight & weather permitting and early on a Saturday morning. Wetsuits and swim hats are required. Cover is provided on the bank by qualified coaches and in the water we have one or two kayaks also provided safety cover. After a session we retire to the cafe to warm up and enjoy recovery cake! When the water temperature drops the sessions are ended for safety.

For all coaching sessions it is recommended to check our Facebook page where up to date information will be provided

Note: Swimming at Bodiam Boating Station is classed as a Private Swimming Club and is not open for use by the general public. Swimmers entering the water without appropriate clothing/safety cover do so at their own risk. The Club nor the Boating Station take responsibility of anyone entering the water outside of a coached session.
